What an incredible massage from Jay. From each time I walk in, I feel instantly at ease- the atmosphere was very calm, welcoming, and immaculately clean. Jay is not only highly skilled but also genuinely very attentive, taking time to understand my needs. Each moment felt purposeful and tailored to my tension points and when I left I felt completely relaxed, refreshed , and pain-free. Thank you Jay. Looking forward in my next visit. L H16 June 2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am back with my 2nd review, some two years after first receiving massage from J. The service from Estudio de Masajes just seems to keep on getting better and better. I have been beyond impressed by my massages over the last two years - which have always felt like luxury wellbeing experiences with elements of newness added regularly. Now, J has excelled himself even further with the pre-massage sauna experience. I had the joy of this for the first time last week and I was literally floating on cloud 9 after having had 90 minutes of the most calming, invigorating and relaxing experience that I have had in a long time. The sauna, energising shower and full body massage offered by Estudio de Masajes in one sequenced treatment absolutely sets this place apart as a wellbeing provider par excellence in Liverpool. Everything about it was perfect. I was made to feel so comfortable straight away and as it was my first time getting a massage, I felt quite anxious beforehand. I walked in with aches, pains and tension and left feeling like I was walking on clouds and so wonderfully relaxed. Highly recommend investing in yourself and getting an excellent massage at Studio de Masajes! What is A
Swedish Massage
It is the most commonly practised massage therapy and offers you a wonderful relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
Swedish Massage Techniques
- Effleurage – a type of gentle stroking, including long strokes.
- Petrissage – what you think of when muscles are kneaded.
- Vibration – includes light tapping and other techniques which can cause the body to lightly shake or vibrate.
- Hacking – includes the karate-style ‘chops’ you may also associate with massage.
Difference between Thai and Swedish massage
Thai massage often doesn’t use oils and is usually done on the floor, rather than on a table. The recipient remains clothed while the therapist helps them into assisted yoga positions to stretch and relax the body. It’s more vigorous and sometimes focuses on acupressure points.
The goal of Swedish Massage
Improve your circulation and promote relaxation through soothing your muscles. The techniques involve soft strokes over areas which are more prone to pain, or without much muscle coverage. Where the muscles are thicker, the pressure is changed and the massage is deeper.
How to prepare for a Massage
Before you arrive, it’s good if you can have a warm shower and leave plenty of time to get here as you won’t want to start your massage feeling unnecessarily rushed or stressed. Avoid having a heavy meal or drinking alcohol before your massage.
